Abu Dhabi: The Judicial Department on Monday announced a project to build the first justice museum in the UAE.
It will be the first of its kind nationwide and the museum will chronicle the historic justice system in the emirate and the nation, said Sultan Saeed Al Badi, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial department on Monday
"It will present its advancement and historical documents and decisions taken in this matter. The overall purpose is to inform the public about the developments that have taken place. Famous judges will be profiled. The museum will be a centre of all old and new judicial decisions," he added.
The department is working on a study to launch the museum and consulting international experts and museum designers so the museum will reflect the judicial heritage of the UAE.
The museum will also become an archive centre for information and research. It will be open for researchers and academics alike.
No date has yet been set as to when the project will be completed.
