Dubai: Tenants living in three-bedroom apartments in the Gardens said they are in the dark over their tenancy contract renewal which has been put on hold by the management.
They said the management has failed to provide any clarifications and that rumours are rife they will be evicted by June next year.
The Gardens management said it does not have any "official comment" on the issue.
"Our tenancy contract is due for renewal in January. When we went to the Gardens office to get it done we were told that all renewals are put on hold. They failed to provide us with any concrete reasons behind it," said a tenant who pays Dh50,000 in annual rent.
Another tenant said: "I learnt that there are plans to tear down the three bedroom apartments to lay a new road. No one is saying anything to us. We wonder what is going on here," she said.
