Bangkok: Paedophile suspect Christopher Paul Neil, accused of raping boys in Vietnam and Cambodia, was arrested in Thailand on Friday, police said.
The 32-year-old Canadian was arrested in the early hours of the morning after a nationwide police manhunt.
He was presented for questioning by reporters at the national police headquarters in Bangkok on Friday. Details of how he was hunted down remained sketchy.
Neil, who was identified through a rare Interpol internet appeal, fled South Korea to Thailand last week.
Investigators have been trying to track down Neil for three years after German police discovered photographs on the internet showing him raping 12 young boys in Vietnam and Cambodia.
His face was disguised with a swirly digital pattern, but experts at Germany's federal crime office managed to unscramble it.
