Dubai: The UAE has maintained its status as Mercedes-Benz's largest market in the region with 112 more vehicles delivered in Aug-ust compared with the same period last year.

Saudi Arabia continued to grow with deliveries up over 19 per cent in August.

Mercedes-Benz sales in the Middle East and Levant increased 20 per cent from 1,303 vehicles in August 2007 to 1,568 vehicles last month. The brand recorded half year figures over 10,000 for the first time ever in the first six months of 2008.

Deliveries of the mid-range C-Class were up over 30 per cent from 375 to 490.
