Riyadh: Nasair, Saudi Arab-ia's first budget airline, started flights to the UAE yesterday, adding its first international destination to an already extensive domestic network in the Kingdom.

Nasair will operate 10 flights a week linking Riyadh and Jeddah to Sharjah.

The airline is providing special launch fares starting from 89 riyals. Seats are available through flynas.com, the nasair reservation centre and travel agents, with low prices for early bookings.

Nasair has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320 to operate its international routes.

Chief executive Ed Winter said: "Nasair is really proud to offer our customers the comfort and reliability of brand new aircraft. We are now operating the youngest fleet in the region."
