Dubai: Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) have revealed that more than 30,000 people have visited Summer in Abu Dhabi during the first 10 days of the show's eight-week run at Adnec.
Faisal Al Shaikh, head of Events Section at ADTA, said: "From June 26 to July 5 we welcomed 30,870 visitors to Summer in Abu Dhabi. We are delighted by the numbers, but we are not surprised. From the very first day the feedback from visitors has been fantastic and many people have already returned two or three times."
Summer in Abu Dhabi opened on June 26 and will run until August 18.
Adnec and the ADTA sourced the content for the show from around the world and have marketed the event heavily in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai.
"We have worked very hard to create the Middle East's premier family summer festival and have been very careful to market the event to the right people. Word of mouth is now helping spread the message that Summer in Abu Dhabi is a truly great day out for all the family," concluded Al Shaikh.
Summer in Abu Dhabi is open to the public from 12pm to 9pm daily, with tickets priced at Dh30 for an adult and Dh20 for a child.
Visitors are advised to park at Shaikh Zayed Sports City where free shuttle buses will transport them to the show.
