Abu Dhabi: The world demand for oil and gas is increasing day by day and all eyes are on the Gulf Cooperation Council producers to quench the world's thirst for oil and gas, according to the organisers of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec).
Two thirds of the world's known oil reserves are concentrated in the GCC region which comprises the world's leading oil and gas producing nations.
The region is working towards meeting the rising global demand for oil by investing billions in oil exploration, production, processing, and maintenance and infrastructure development, Ashok Pillai, project manager of Adipec, said in an interview with WAM.
"New project announcements and exploration in the region require superior products and services which Adipec exhibitors and visitors alike will be excited about. End users will be attending Adipec with specific objectives and seeking a one-point solution to fulfill their procurement requirements," he added.
The latest and most up to date products, services and technology for oil and gas exploration, production, processing, maintenance, new refining will be required more in this region than anywhere in the world. Adipec is already established as one of the major oil and gas events in the world.
"Adipec will be the world's number one oil and gas event in terms of size and quality in the near future. Indoor space was sold out in April and hence the challenge remains as in the previous editions for want of more space," Pillai said.
Adipec will be conducted from November 3 to 6 this year at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre by DMG World Media.
It will offer a platform for oil and gas industry professionals from around the world to interact and disseminate industry information.
The event helps producers from the UAE and the surrounding region to meet with their international counterparts to learn from each other through debate on problems facing the industry and to seek solutions together.
Through the exhibition and conference, visitors will have an opportunity to view new technologies and innovations, the latest software and services, network with industry leaders and learn the latest industry news.
"Adipec is a world class exhibition and conference. It ranks among the top two shows in the world. There is no other exhibition which has had such a vertical growth as Adipec. In the last four editions, Adipec has grown five-fold. With Adipec, we are reversing the trend by making the world move towards Abu Dhabi," said Pillai.
