Dubai: Zayed University announced on Wednesday that it will launch a three-day conference on Women as Global Leaders on Monday at Madinat Jumeirah.
Dr Sulaiman Al Jasem, Vice-President of Zayed University, said over 2,000 delegates from 60 countries will be attending the conference, which aims to teach leadership through workshops, lectures, debates and round-table discussions on issues that concern women and society.
His Highness Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Zayed University, will inaugurate the conference, which is held under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union.
"The conference will give national women the chance to interact with women leaders from abroad and enrich their mind with new ideas and ways of thinking," Al Jasem said.
