Dubai: The Kenya Clothing Campaign has made a fresh appeal for medical supplies.
Items such as tents, mosquito nets, basic medical supplies and water purification treatments are still lacking.
The campaign has been collecting clothes for displaced populations in Kenya and aims to ship the goods and medical supplies in April.
Due to the remarkable response from people donating clothes in Dubai, the shipment is growing by the day.
Aid worker Lola Lopez, who is working in conjunction with Save the Children, said: "The response from people in Dubai has been phenomenal. Items like mosquito nets, tents, umbrellas and medical supplies like plasters, syringes and blades are really needed."
Due to the huge response, no more clothing is being accepted, while donations for the medical supplies are being encouraged.
According to the charity, there are around 600,000 displaced people in Africa, and around 63 per cent of these are children.
