Dubai: Rescue teams have found the body of one of three missing persons in the Al Quoz fire, raising the death toll to three, a Civil Defence official said.
Colonel Ahmad Al Sayegh, Acting Director of Dubai Civil Defence, said cooling operations were underway at the site. The columns of smoke which billowed yesterday have become smaller and turned white, residents said.
Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Director of the Police Criminal Investigation Department, said the warehouse was huge and there were places where materials and electric equipment were still on fire and spewing smoke, hampering the search operation. Meanwhile, Esam Eisa Al Humaidan, Dubai's Attorney General, said the Asian man who rented the warehouse is still being questioned.
