Ras Al Khaimah: Twenty-six people died in traffic accidents in Ras Al Khaimah in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 30 per cent compared to the death toll registered in the same period last year when 20 people lost their lives.

A senior officer at the Traffic and Licensing Department said among those dead, 10 people were Emiratis.

The officer pointed out that the increase in the number of fatalities in road accidents is attributed to the increase in the number of vehicles.
