Sharjah: A Pakistani driver died in a horrific traffic accident that took place near National Paints roundabout in Sharjah, said the police.
The driver died when the vehicle he was driving rammed into a cement mixer early on Sunday, said the police.
The 44-year-old man died on the spot and his body has been transferred to Kuwaiti Hospital, said the police.
Police cordoned off the area and traffic was diverted, leading to heavy traffic jams on Emirates Road towards Dubai.
Police and Sharjah Municipality's emergency unit took more than five hours to remove cement spilt from the mixer.
Many motorists were stuck in traffic for more than three hours following the accident.
