Al Ain: Two children, aged two and three, have been killed in two separate road accidents in the city recently.
According to traffic police, an Emirati boy was playing in front of his house when a speeding car knocked him down in Al Foah district on Monday evening.
The driver, apparently a woman, sped away leaving the innocent victim lying in a pool of blood. The critically-injured child was rushed to hospital by a witness. The boy later succumbed to injuries at Al Ain Hospital.
Police registered a case and are looking for the accused.
On Sunday, a three-year-old kindergarten pupil was run over by the school bus from which he alighted.
