Dubai: The extreme left lane of Shaikh Zayed Road will be partially closed in both directions from 1am on Friday, April 11, to 5am on Sunday, April 13, for Dubai Metro construction.
The Traffic and Roads Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the extreme left lane will be closed partially from the World Trade Centre Roundabout to Defence Interchange.
The RTA announced that the closure will only affect the fast track [extreme left lane] in both directions of Shaikh Zayed Road between the Defence Interchange and the World Trade Centre Roundabout, while traffic flow on other lanes will continue as usual.
The RTA called on road users to exercise caution. The RTA said all required arrangements and procedures were in place to ensure smooth traffic flow on the road, as well as safe transit on other lanes.
The RTA urged motorists to abide by speed limits and adhere to the traffic signs in the area.
