Ras Al Khaimah: An enthusiastic young Emirati fan of Al Rams Football Team yesterday fell from the top of Al Rams Stadium to the ground and suffered fractures during a match between Al Rams and Al Arabi teams.
The 12-year-old fan, Ahmad Mohammad, is a big fan of Al Rams football team and usually walks from his home in Al Jolan to Al Rams Stadium (more than 10km) to attend the matches of his favourite team.
During the match, Ahmad climbed to the top of the stadium to be seen and heard by his football heroes.
While encouraging his team, Ahmad lost his balance and fell to the ground.
Top officials from Al Rams Club rushed him to Al Rams Medical Centre, where the physician on duty referred him to Saqr Hospital. Ahmad was taken in an ambulance to Saqr Hospital where he was admitted to the ICU and his parents were called in.
Mohammad Hassan, Ahmad's father, showed up at the hospital and the physicians told him that his son would have to remain for some time.
Mohammad said his son is a big fan of Al Rams football team and he never missed a match.
Delegations from Al Rams Club, and players visited Ahmad in the hospital and said they will keep in touch with him in the hospital till he is discharged.
