Dubai: The Dubai Police Human Rights Department will celebrate International Labour Day on Thursday by organising social activities.
Under the directions of Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, the department will organise the activities at Dubai Police General Headquarters.
Colonel Dr Mohammad Al Murr, director of the department, said the activities are in line with the UAE's celebrations on international labour day and the increasing care regarding human rights, especially labour rights.
Colonel Dr Al Murr said Dubai Police's Human Rights Department has established a programme to look into individual and group labour complaints against companies and private organisations.
The programme looks in to complaints against unpaid salaries, unsuitable accommodations and everything related to work relationships according to the law.
