Abu Dhabi: The deadline for the Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF) and Shawati magazine poster competition has been extended till August 31, 2008, to give budding artists a chance to have their design become the next official MEIFF poster.
With artists scrambling to complete their designs for one of the premiere film festivals in the Arab World, requests for an extended deadline have been granted to give artists and designers one last chance to submit their artwork. The winning design will become the official MEIFF poster for the year 2008.
Announced earlier this year at a MEIFF press conference held in Cannes, the competition has been met with avid interest by artists and designers in the region eager for the chance to have their design in the forefront of a festival that attracts hundreds of big names to the capital of the UAE. With the film festival opening in Abu Dhabi on October 10, the time is now to submit all artwork to be considered in the competition.
