Abu Dhabi: A reward system for taxi drivers in Abu Dhabi is being rolled out to motivate and encourage cabbies.
The Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars (TransAD) is planning to launch and implement an advanced Rewarding System for Taxi Drivers as part of its strategy to improve the overall quality of taxi services in Abu Dhabi.
There will be three main awards: Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award. The awards will be for bravery, safety and honesty.
There will also be cash awards not less than Dh5,000.
The Gold Award would represent the highest award for exceptional acts above and beyond the call of duty. A judgment committee, including members of TransAD and members of different concerned parties, will decide the winners.
