Ras Al Khaimah: Normal cooking gas cylinders (22kg) will be sold in Ras Al Khaimah for Dh94 until November 9, forcing gas distributers to sell the cylinder for Dh6 less than its current price.
The cylinder is currently sold in the emirate for Dh100.
The Department of Economic Development announced that the smaller cylinder (11kg) will be available for Dh47 and the bigger cylinder (44kg) will be sold for Dh188.
The emirate's Department of Economic Development released on Sunday the monthly cooking gas price list with a drop in the prices compared to the prices of dealers.
The department receives scores of complaints from customers about the increasing prices of the cooking gas. A senior official at the department instructed the gas distributors to stick to the price list, warning violators with tough penalties and heavy fines.
The department urged the public to contact 8007253266 or 07/2221722 to issue any complaints.
