Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is spending Dh50 million for Oud Mateena 2 road development project.
Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA, said the core work under the project include construction of a road network with a total length of 3.5km, along with development of Al Khartoum Road and Amman Road through adding new lanes.
"Khartoum Road will be widened to four lanes in each direction, while Amman Road leading to Oud Mateena 2 will also be widened to two lanes in each direction," he said.
RTA is currently engaged in constructing roads in various parts of Dubai at a cost of around Dh850 million and some of them are in the final stages of completion, he said.
