Berlin: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met about 30 German intellectuals and writers at the Berlin Museum of Islamic Art in a cultural gathering during which Lebanese singer Jaheda Wehbe sang one of Shaikh Mohammad's poems.
Shaikh Mohammad exchanged views with them about various issues, and told them that meeting them was more important for him than meeting politicians. He stressed his readiness to cooperate in building a future vision through intellectual dialogue, and promised them a second visit to discuss more issues.
The Vice-President said the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation was willing to help cultural project in Germany, especially those related to translation.
Shaikh Mohammad was honoured with a gold medal by the Free University of Berlin.
