Dubai : His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday received Abdul Qader Bin Saleh, Speaker of the Algerian Parliament.
Bin Saleh conveyed the greetings and wishes of Algerian President Abdul Aziz Buteflikah to Shaikh Mohammad.
He commended the high levels reached by the UAE in all fields of development and modernisation and the country's highly acclaimed achievements, and said his visit to the UAE reflects the strong brotherly ties between the two countries at all levels.
Bin Saleh expressed his astonishment at the development of the UAE society and highlighted Dubai's successes in the field of investment, which is a key factor for the human, social, economic and tourism development programmes implemented by the UAE's wise leadership to diversify sources of national income.
"We, in Algeria, are trying to learn from the UAE's experience," Bin Saleh said.
"Those who visit Dubai are stunned by its achievements and leap into the future, which is a source of pride for the UAE people and the entire Arab nation," he added. Shaikh Mohammad also received Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek.
They discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them and widen avenues of cooperation, especially in the economic, tourism and investment fields.
