Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has promoted Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, to the position of Dubai Police's Deputy Commandant General.
He has replaced Major General Dr Jamal Mohammad Khalifa Al Merri.
Major General Al Mazeina thanked Shaikh Mohammad and said, "This confidence bestowed on me is precious, and it is a great responsibility. I vow to be a loyal soldier and serve the country."
He also lauded the role played by the media in creating and strengthening the channels of communication between the members of the society and the department as well as solving a lot of problems through a common mechanism.
He also thanked his colleagues at Dubai Police.
