Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received the credentials of 10 new ambassadors accredited to the UAE.
The new ambassadors for Vietnam, Hungary, Honduras, Ireland, Ivory Coast, Croatia, Malta, Ghana, Uganda and Albania, were received in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The President welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and their respective countries.
He reiterated the UAE's commitment to boosting ties with all fraternal and friendly countries. He promised them total cooperation and support from all state organisations to facilitate the smooth discharge of their duties in the country.
The ambassadors expressed their happiness for representing their respective countries in the UAE.
They praised the UAE for its wise policies under the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa.
They also praised the UAE for its balanced and effective role on the international scene.
A reception ceremony was held for the ambassadors before they were received by Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, in addition to other shaikhs and senior officials, were also present.
Six new judges were yesterday sworn in before Shaikh Khalifa.
Right to justice
"Everyone has the right to justice and the supremacy of law is above all considerations," Shaikh Khalifa said during the swearing in ceremony, in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.
Shaikh Khalifa wished the judges success in discharging their duties and serving justice without fear or favouritism.
He urged them to set a model of fairness, neutrality, and dedication.
The President instructed the judges to speed up looking into cases and issue rulings according to Islamic Sharia and UAE's laws.
The judges have been appointment at the Supreme Federal Court.
The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judiciary Department, and other senior officials.
The judges included Abdul Salam Al Wahhabi, Ra'efi Mohammad Ebrahim, Mustafa Al Tayyib Haboura Ahmad, Mohammad Ahmad Abdul Qader, Abdul Hakim Al Saeed Mahmoud Abdullah, and Ahmad Abdul Hamid Hamed Abdullah.
