Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) on Monday announced its strategic plan for the next five years.
About 86 initiatives, as part of the strategy, will cover all areas of food safety and agriculture, said Rashid M. Al Sharqi, Director General of ADFCA.
The emphasis is on agriculture sector as agriculture department under Abu Dhabi Municipality merged with ADFCA recently.
"Our vision is to make the farmer self dependent, who does not wait for subsidy from the government," said Sharqi.
