Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday held talks with Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed of Oman.
Welcoming Sultan Qaboos, Shaikh Khalifa expressed hope that the visit would yield good results that contribute to supporting cooperation between the two countries in the best interests of both people.
Shaikh Khalifa and Sultan Qaboos exchanged views on the latest Arab, regional and international developments, in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
They also discussed a number of issues that concern GCC countries and ways to enhance the GCC march and support joint Gulf action.
Sultan Qaboos expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE and meeting Shaikh Khalifa, stressing Oman's keenness to strengthen its ties with the UAE.
Later, Shaikh Khalifa hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Sultan Qaboos and his accompanying delegation, this was attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
