Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, on Saturday honoured 400 winners of the Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence.
The winners are holders of doctorate and master’s degrees and medical fellowships.
Addressing the winners, Shaikh Hamdan said: “Man should be armed with education, knowledge and experience to make his way towards a brighter future.”
Goals
He urged the winners to build their future with high confidence and strong faith in Allah and their nation as well as with their scientific and intellectual capabilities until they achieve their goals.
Shaikh Hamdan presented the prizes and certificates to the winners.
Earlier, Shaikh Hamdan along with Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited the UAE Archaeology Exhibition at the new headquarters of the Culture and Science Association.
They were briefed on the exhibition’s contents of archaeology, masterpieces and historic manuscripts that tell the history of the UAE and its rich heritage and culture.
Shaikh Hamdan praised the idea of organising a UAE heritage exhibition as an opportunity for UAE’s young people to get to know the history of their ancestors.
