Dubai: Dubai Municipality has taken up five recreational projects in Hatta at a cost of Dh17.5 million, with the aim of boosting tourism potentials in this remote part of the emirate and providing more green space and recreational facilities for residents and visitors.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, said the projects include expansion of the existing Hatta Hilltop Park at a cost of Dh7.5 million and construction of four new community facilities in different parts of Hatta at a cost of Dh10 million.
He said the expansion of Hatta Hilltop Park, the work of which will start by mid-July, would involve providing more greenery, adding more playing grounds for children, setting up an open space, adding more seating, and construction of an 800 meter-long jogging track.
