Al Ain: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday held talks with Amr Mousa, Secretary General of the Arab League, who is on a visit to the UAE.

They discussed regional developments and highlighted the importance of Arab coordination to face the challenges.

Shaikh Khalifa and Amr Mousa reviewed the efforts made by the Arab League to achieve joint Arab action and find solutions for some outstanding problems.

The President stressed the importance of supporting the Arab League.
Mousa commended the UAE’s role in supporting Arab action.

"The UAE has a distinctive role in reaching positive resolutions to many Arab issues and problems," Mousa said.


He said the aid provided by the UAE to Arab countries was very effective to overcome the problems of food security and economic and social development.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Interior Minister.
