Liwa: For the third day in a row, President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan continued his tour of the western region of Abu Dhabi, meeting people and listening to their needs and expectations.
Shaikh Khalifa called for increased engagement and interaction between government institutions and citizens. Public institutions, he said, were created to serve the public. “We do not want the state relationship with its citizens to be a one-way relationship. Rather, each and every citizen must serve his/her country in everyway possible,” said Shaikh Khalifa.
As he listened to the needs of the citizens, Shaikh Khalifa assured them that the state would do everything within its power to ensure the prosperity of the citizens. The President instructed officials to take action on issues raised by the citizens during the meeting.
On their part, the citizens of the area expressed their happiness in meeting Shaikh Khalifa, noting that the area was looking forward to new projects that are now being implemented.
A number of poets from the area recited their poems, praising Shaikh Khalifa and his leadership.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, and a number of Shaikhs and senior officials.
