I cannot find a reasonable two-bedroom place. I am stuck with a one-bedroom apartment paying Dh80,000. Compared to the rest of the Gulf, excluding Qatar, rents over here are extraordinary as more than 30% of the income is paid in accommodation. When will this misery end?

I tried for six months by doing door-to-door inquiries for a two-bedroom flat for my family but we ended up in Baniyas East, from where is takes 45 minutes to one hour every day, coming to work and going back home.

I have been looking for two-bedroom flats for the last eight months between the range of Dh70,000-80,000 per year. I need to bring in my family before the new term starts.

Not only can you not find an apartment in Abu Dhabi, even if you find one, you won't be able to afford it.The average price for a one-bedroom is around Dh80,000 in an old building, and Dh100,000 in a new building. I can pay the same in Dubai Marina for a 1-bedroom. What's the point of paying so much when the infrastructure is not up to standards in places like Dubai Marina or Jumeriah beach? The prices here do not make sense and it is not affordable anymore. People who lived in high class areas like the Corniche are now forced to move to suburbs.

I have been looking for a studio in the city area, but am unable to find one because of the unaffordable costs. My range is in between Dh2500 to Dh3200 per month.
