Al Ain: Three female Emirati students have developed new techniques to overcome work-related stress and have demonstrated them to the officials of the Al Ain police and Ambulance and Rescue services.
Mariam Al Baloushi, Joukha Al Ameri, and Latifa Al Asri, 3rd year business students of Al Ain Women's College (AAWC), delivered the training that was attended by 65 officials.
Tonia Michael, an official of the AAWC, said the training focused on stress management and was imparted to the staff, supervisors and a number of senior police officers.
She said the students had developed a special movie for the purpose and created a professional set of slides about the major causes and effects of stress and recommended techniques to relieve stress at work.
"This was a part of their [students] project for training and development class at the college," she said.
Michael said AAWC students have actively been participating in community service activities. Some other students have already given two other successful training sessions recently.
One of these sessions was on the subject of customer service and ethics and it was given to nurses and staff of Tawam Hospital.
The other was an informative session on leadership and time management and it was presented to the employees of Al Ain International Airport, she added.
