Abu Dhabi: A six-star cruise ship carrying 800 tourists of 25 nationalities berthed at Port Zayed on Friday.
The luxurious 50,000-ton, 940-guest six-star Crystal Symphony is one of the most spacious cruise ships at sea. Onboard amenities include grand lounges, full-service fitness facility, Crystal casino, Feng Shui-inspired spa, 360 degrees teak promenade deck, two pools, award-winning cuisine and entertainment, in addition to elegant staterooms with private verandahs.
Suleiman Bin Obaid Al Ameri, Director of the Commercial Department, Abu Dhabi Terminals Company, said, "This is the first time the Crystal Symphony is visiting the UAE".
Al Ameri also said, "When the ADTC received a request from the ship's company for the Crystal Symphony to visit Port Zayed, steps were taken immediately to facilitate entry." Tourists were also issued permits to visit Abu Dhabi landmarks.
The 11-deck ship will come to Dubai on its way to the Red Sea, stopping in Egypt and then continuing to several Mediterranean ports.
