Food for thought
I'm a relatively new reader of Gulf News, and I think the paper is very good. At times however, I feel there are a lot of articles that can be avoided because they do not add value.

On the other hand, there are also several issues that deserve more in-depth attention. I start my day with the Sports pages but truly enjoyed the "Under Water" front page last week. I hope the paper continues to encourage more food for thought, because it will allow people to get attached to the paper.

Involve readers
I read Gulf News every day; it's a great newspaper. Especially last week, I loved the front page with the seemingly wet "Under Water" font. I also liked the in-depth coverage of Benazir Bhutto's death.

My suggestion for the paper is to include more contests and competitions to involve and motivate readers. My favourite part of the newspaper is tabloid! The Dubai Shopping Festival coverage is usually extensive in Gulf News, and I look forward to reading about it this year.

Honest newspaper
I think Gulf News is an objective and resourceful newspaper. Gulf News tells it like it is and doesn't encourage dramatising issues. I enjoy reading the political analysis in the main paper and the articles in tabloid! Although I'm sure many people enjoy Friday magazine, I find the content to be quite bland. I think more coverage about social issues is needed in the magazine, and it should appeal to all readers.

I wish I had more time to read the newspaper, but with our hectic schedules, I have to make do with scanning through it whenever I can.

Great coverage
I am really impressed with Gulf News for its wonderful coverage. The wide variety of photographs makes the newspaper a great experience to read. The website is also very informative.

Special coverage given to President Bush's Middle East tour speaks for itself. I would like to thank everyone behind this spectacular newspaper.

Real celebrities
I have been reading Gulf News for the past four years. I had initially subscribed to it for a year before going on leave. When I came back to the country, I started reading the newspaper again.

I find that it is very informative and friendly to its readers. I especially enjoy the Letter to the Editor section as it reflects the views of many people. One of my letters was published in that section.

The website is very user friendly, particularly the Classifieds as it makes job searches easier. The one thing I do not like is the amount of coverage and importance that is given to celebrities. While it may be interesting to read about them once in a while, they are only a small part of our society. There is not enough coverage of people from the middle class such as doctors. They are the real celebrities because they are a big part of the country.

More feedback
I have been reading Gulf News for nine years. It is an excellent newspaper, and it demonstrates freedom of the press because it does not shy away from publishing facts. But it does that in a fair way and includes all the elements.

The political, sport and business coverage are comprehensive, the Friday magazine makes a good weekend read and Funday is entertaining for children. My personal favourite is the crossword.

However, I noticed that most of Friday magazine is filled with advertisements. It would be better if the number was reduced and replaced with more articles. I wrote a Letter to the Editor but it was not published. The website is good but from personal experience, things like the Classifieds are tricky to browse.

Keep it up!
The newspaper's Ask The Law column is simply brilliant in all aspects. It answers all readers' questions at no cost, which is great because it would a have cost us thousands elsewhere to find answers to our queries. This is a wonderful service for the residents of UAE. Keep it up! I truly appreciate Gulf News and would like to wish the team good luck for the future.
