Gulf News is proud to have won awards from the Society of News Design for the second year in a row.
To be recognised by such a prestigious institution places us in the select company of some of the world’s best newspapers, all of which are many decades older than Gulf News.

Additionally we have also won two awards for design and coverage from the IFRA Asia Media Awards, which recognises newspaper and media publishing leaders in Asia.
The honours are testament to what we have always maintained — Gulf News is a pioneer in both content and design.
As the newspaper celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, it is evident that we have been continuously evolving and changing with the times. Unless you transform and grow, you cannot maintain your leadership, which Gulf News has done in the UAE.
Our position is further strengthened when other English and Arabic newspapers in the region follow, copy and occasionally steal our design and content elements.
It makes us proud because imitation is true flattery. However, newspapers must realise that copying and stealing do not augur well for their growth in the long-term. Copying will not take a newspaper very far.
You have to innovate and develop your creative processes — you have to invest the time, patience and effort to reap its benefits. Legacies are not built overnight.
On this occasion, I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the Gulf News design team, the editors and staff members who contributed to this success.
Finally, I would like to thank our readers for the trust and loyalty that they invest in us. Every development, every creative push by the newspaper is at its core driven by the need to provide our readers with better content, better service and a better reading experience.
