Ras Al Khaimah: A drunken man stabbed a policeman who had been called to end a fight at a bar in the Al Nakheel area yesterday.
Police sources said the Saudi national had consumed large quantities of alcohol at a hotel bar and initiated a fight with other people. The hotel security and staff could not bring the fight to an end.
Sources added that the hotel management reported the fight to the police who dispatched a special team to put the situation under control.
The police force tried to control the Saudi suspect identified as D.A. Sources added that the policeman identified as M.M. sustained serious injuries and was taken to Saqr Hospital for treatment.
Police finally managed to arrest the Saudi suspect.
