Dubai: Juvenile delinquency is a tough issue to tackle and an increasing problem despite efforts in this field, Chief of Dubai Police said on Tuesday.
Shaikh Saeed Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the conference, which focuses on instilling a national identity and assessing the challenges faced by the Emirati family socially, as well as recommending suitable solutions to enable families to protect their identities.
The two-day conference is a message to members of society, especially public organisations, to work together. Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, presented a paper on juvenile delinquency at the conference organised by Dubai Women's Association.
"Through my long experience in the field of juvenile delinquency and its reasons in the UAE, it is a tough issue and an increasing problem despite the efforts in this field," he said.
