Abu Dhabi: etisalat said on Sunday that internet services will continue to work at reasonable speeds, although damage caused by a cable cut will not be fully resolved for two weeks starting from the day of the disruption.

etisalat is closely monitoring the disruption in internet services in the UAE due to the unexpected cable cut suffered by its international service providers.

Work has been undertaken to ensure minimal disruption to customers through multiple efforts including redirecting traffic and significantly increasing capacity on other links.

These efforts mean that normal internet browsing and essential traffic will continue to work at reasonable speeds for etisalat's customers.


However, estimates reveal the problem is expected to be resolved in two weeks starting from the day of the disruption, which first occurred on Wednesday.
