Dubai: Government bodies have achieved 91 per cent in the switchover onto electronic service, a recent report said.
The annual report on on electronic services offered by government bodies was reviewed on Monday at the Dubai Executive Council's meeting, which was chaired by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the council.
The Dubai government managed to save Dh66 million since the implementation of e-services until the end of 2007, the report said.
According to the report, 10 government establishments and eight other firms have adopted the e-payment system, 74 per cent offered complete services online, while achieving 69 per cent in the quality of websites and 65 per cent in the quality of services as well as 86 per cent in public awareness of services.
Customer trust reached 63 per cent, 12 per cent used the electronic services, while customer satisfaction reached 63 per cent.
Shaikh Hamdan expressed his satisfaction at the development of services and enhancing Dubai's leading status.
The Dubai Executive Council also approved the strategic plan of the Public Prosecution.
Security, justice and safety topped the list of priorities of the plan, which comes in line with the Dubai strategic plan.
Shaikh Hamdan emphasised the importance of respecting and protecting the law by every one.
The council reviewed the strategic goals of the plan that include ensuring the fairness and efficiency of investigation procedures and charges, as well as the protection of government interests to further achieve justice in the society.
