Dubai: Parking will be free in paid parking zones on Thursday, on occasion of the holiday marking Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) birthday. Engineer Najeeb Al Zarouni, Director of Parking Department at the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), said that the decision to exempt public parking from fees marking this blessed occasion comes in line with the strategy of the RTA to interact with the community. He said that motorists should observe RTA directives and not to misuse parking spaces during the period of exemption as fines can be issued for double parking or blocking the road.
