Dubai: Residents with respiratory ailments are advised to stay indoors or take precautions when outdoors as widespread dusty conditions are expected to prevail in the UAE on Monday and Tuesday, forecasters said.

Weather will be hazy in general due to suspended dust in the air and will be partly cloudy at times in the eastern and southern parts of the country by Monday afternoon.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution as visibility could deteriorate due to moderate dust-laden winds that may further cause hazy conditions, especially in exposed areas. The northeasterly to northwesterly winds will kick up more loose sand and dirt from dry surfaces throughout the day.

The increase in humidity early morning on Monday caused some mist to form over Liwa. Poor visibility is forecast over coastal and internal areas, especially over the western areas, late night and early mornings.

The Arabian Gulf will be moderate but rough at times towards the western part while the Oman Sea will be moderate.
