Prince Harry cannot get it right. First it was "should he go, or should he stay" when the Iraq issue arose, so he stayed - in England. Only to be criticised. Now it is "should he stay [in Afghanistan] or should he go [home]" to a mixed reception on whether he should have gone to Afghanistan.
The pity is that but for a leak on a website of a limited circulation Australian woman's magazine on January 7, the secret would still be a secret. But it got out, to be picked up by the American Drudge Report website, and then one of Europe's largest circulation newspapers, Germany's Bild.
The army decided the situation for Harry and his colleagues was untenable so he was returned to the barracks. Harry was hoping to pursue the career he was trained for - a serving officer - but apparently some of the media will not allow him.
