The Heather Mills-Paul McCartney divorce saga has finally been buried. While Mills gained a tidy sum for her efforts - 24.4 million pounds - the records will show that she received one fifth of her earlier claims of 123 million pounds.
Not a bad effort, as the British press claim, for someone who has been labelled a professional gold digger.
Mills came bouncing out of court in what can be translated as putting on a brave face, while Sir Paul's attorney Fiona Shackleton presented a soggy front, thanks mainly to the soaking she received when Mills threw a glass of water at her after the judge declared that the proceedings were finally over.
For someone who has earned 700 pounds for every day of her marriage with the Beatle, Mills is still not spent (no pun intended). Perhaps, she can find peace in a famous McCartney song - Let It Be.
