Cairo: Al Qaida's media arm says it will come out with a new release on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, “something that will make viewers happy”.
The announcement by As Sahab has been posted on an Islamic website that commonly carries Al Qaida messages.
It gives no details but says: “Wait for September 11 to see what will please you, with God's will”. It also shows photographs of planes hitting New York's World Trade Center.
The announcement comes a day after Al Jazeera TV showed excerpts from what it said was a new videotape of Al Qaida No. 2 Ayman Al Zawahri and others.
The video was said to mark the September 11 anniversary. It isn't clear if As Sahab's announcement on Tuesday refers to the same tape.
