Tehran: A strong earthquake struck southern Iran on Friday, the official Iranian news agency reported.
There were no immediate reports of damage of casualties.
Irna news agency said the 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred near the island of Hendourabi in the southern province of Hormozgan.
