Arab and US leaders are meeting in Kuwait on Tuesday to discuss key issues on Iraq. The meeting will be a follow-up to gatherings in Turkey and Egypt held last year.
What are the key issues?
Iraq and the United States are expected to push Arab nations to make good on promises to open up or expand diplomatic missions to Baghdad.
Talks will focus on boosting security in Iraq, including supporting the government on their decision to disarm militant groups.
It is not the first time officials from the US and Iran have been together at a high level meeting on Iraq. Last year US and Iranian envoys met in Baghdad to discuss security in Iraq. It was the highest-level contact in three decades between the two countries.
