Baghdad: Civilian deaths in Iraq rose in November following a series of bombing, but US military death toll was at its lowest level since 2003, data released on Monday showed.
Iraqi government figures showed 296 civilians died violent deaths in November, up from 238 in October, which had been the lowest tally since the US-led invasion in 2003.
Last year's November civilian death toll was 538.
Only six US military personnel were killed in hostile action according to statistics from website www.icasualties.org, which collates official data.
In November 2007, the figure stood at 29.
