Beirut: Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa is in Lebanon as he resumes his bid to end the Presidential crisis.

It is the second time in a week that Moussa has flown to Beirut to try and mediate in the long running political dispute.

His last visit ended in failure when he left without consensus from rival political parties for an Arab League backed plan aimed at immediately electing Lebanese Army Commander General Michel Suleiman as Lebanese president.

Lebanon has been without a president since Emile Lahoud stepped down on November 24.

Bitter political in fighting has left parliament unable to agree on a successor, with a vote aimed at installing a new President being postponed 12 times so far.
