Dubai: Al Nasr and Al Wasl will clash in the final of the UAE basketball league on Friday after they won the semifinals against Al Ahli and Al Shabab, respectively.
The final will be played at a home-and-away basis. Al Nasr will host Al Wasl at Rshid Bin Hamdan indoor sports hall on Friday, while they play the second leg at the Rashid Bin Maktoum indoor sports hall at the Al Wasl on March 26.
The two teams will have to battle in a play-off tie on March 31 at the Al Nasr indoors to decide the league champions if they are level in points..
Al Nasr beat Al Ahli at the latter's indoor stadium 74-70 after winning the first leg at home 73-55. Al Wasl defeated Al Shabab 92-86 in the second leg at the Al Shabab Saeed Bin Maktoum indoor sports hall. Al Wasl won the first leg at home 98-78.
Al Nasr will be eager to clinch the league title for the first time, while Al Wasl has won it several times before including last season.
Al Shabab and Al Ahli will meet on March 26 to decide the third place after both teams lost in the semifinals.
