Dubai: T.A. Sekar, the Indian coach, who shaped the career of many fast bowlers around the world, including India's main strike bowler Irfan Pathan, will be here to conduct a coaching clinic from February 14.
"We are flying him down for a four-day training programme. Senthilnathan, who has provided invaluable tips to India's batting mastero Sachin Tendulkar will also be here along with him. It will be a great opportunity for budding cricketers in the UAE," remarked Gopal Jasapara, the organiser of the clinic, to Gulf News.
Six clinics
The clinic is being sponsored by Rosy Blue in association with cricketlovers.com academy.
"Sekar has done invaluable service to pacers around the world through the MRF Pace Foundation after receiving invaluable tips from the Australian pace legend Dennis Lillee. He is keen to pass on the knowledge to cricketers in the UAE and has already done six clinics for youngsters from this region," said Roop Razdan, who mooted the idea of contacting the MRF Pace Foundation with Jasapara.
